Torre Vigía means watchtower. The origins of these towers go back to the fourteenth century, when they had the function of constantly monitoring the sea to warn local residents of possible pirate incursions.
This was done by using smoke signals during the day, and with large bonfires at night. At a functional level, these buildings are divided into two characteristic spaces. A roof with a terrace and an inner chamber.
Currently, some of them still exist, they are periodically restored and they are protected by law.
